Author: Kathy Reichs
Publisher: Young Arrow
Publication date: January 5th 2012

Summary (from Goodreads): Ever since Tory Brennan and her friends rescued Cooper, a kidnapped wolf pup with a rare strain of canine parvovirus, they've turned from regular kids into a crime-solving pack. But now the very place that brought them together - the Loggerhead Island Research Institute - is out of funding and will have to shut down. That is, unless the Virals can figure out a way to save it.

So when Tory learns of an old Charleston legend about a famous she-pirate, Anne Bonney, whose fortune was never found, she can't believe her luck - buried treasure is exactly what she needs to save the Institute on Loggerhead! Book Tour: In Darkness - Nick Lake

Title: In Darkness
Author: Nick Lake
Publisher: Bloomsbury
Publication date: January 5th 2012

Summary (from Goodreads): In darkness I count my blessings like Manman taught me. One: I am alive. Two: there is no two. In the aftermath of the Haitian earthquake a boy is trapped beneath the rubble of a ruined hospital: thirsty, terrified and alone. 'Shorty' is a child of the slums, a teenage boy who has seen enough violence to last a lifetime, and who has been inexorably drawn into the world of the gangsters who rule Site Soleil: men who dole out money with one hand and death with the other.

But Shorty has a secret: a flame of revenge that blazes inside him and a burning wish to find the twin sister he lost five years ago. And he is marked. Marked in a way that links him with Toussaint L'Ouverture, the Haitian rebel who two-hundred years ago led the slave revolt and faced down Napoleon to force the French out of Haiti.

As he grows weaker, Shorty relives the journey that took him to the hospital, a bullet wound in his arm. In his visions and memories he hopes to find the strength to survive, and perhaps then Toussaint can find a way to be free ...

Thank you

I would just like to personally thank Michelle of Much Loved Books  for her amazing HTML skills. She designed the  page Tours - 2011 Publication by Author. I mentioned on Twitter that I had been working on it all day and still couldn't get the spacing in the right place. She came to my rescue and wrote all of the html for the page as well as making sure all of the book covers were correct and the right size.

Now I have to go figure out how she did it to do more pages [ ; D ]

British Book Challenge 2012

For full information go HERE

To sign-up go HERE by the 3st January - in this challenge you have to be a blogger.

Here at UK Book Tours we like to share and provide as many book bloggers as possible with the opportunity to read and review books. Therefore, we will also be touring books by British Authors to co-inside with British Books Challenge. The books that count towards the challenge will be marked by one of the lovely buttons to go with the challenge. I will be going through the current tours and adding the buttons as fast as I can and will obviously be adding them to any scheduled tours. I have a few of my personal copies that I am happy to put on tour and these will be available to sign-up on January. So keep checking for the new tours - you never know what you might be able to read.

If you would like to donate a book to tour: Début or British then please fill out the form below. You can request to have the book returned to you at the end of the tour or donate it to a give-away/school library.

Thank you all for your help.
